Clinical Leadership
After over a decade at the forefront of innovation in uveitis, Mr Addison was appointed as Director of the Uveitis Service in 2024, an exciting opportunity for him to shape the largest Uveitis Service in the world.
As Clinical Lead for the Moorfields steroid implant service, Mr Addison has trained a generation of international ophthalmologists in the delivery and management of patients with steroid implants such as Ozurdex and Iluvien. He has pioneered a training programme for UK nurses to inject these implants too.
As Clinical Lead for the retinal vein occlusion service, he set up the service in 2012 and spearheaded its development into the largest and leading service in the UK.
As
Clinical Lead for Audit and Effectiveness for Moorfields, he encourages and directs audit activity across the Trust and seeks to enable Moorfields clinical outcomes to lead best practice across the world.
